This build was for a client who wanted a Build Strike with the Lightning Booster MkII add on. The client wanted a dark colour scheme with some red and a splash of white with a Tekkadan logo on the chest. I immediately thought of a Titans / Blue Destiny 2 type colour scheme and this is what I ended up with.
Painting
For this build I tried going for Red Madder instead of the Shine Red I usually use. While I can somewhat see the difference in colour when it’s in the bottle, I can’t really tell the difference much after it’s been painted/highlighted. I will probably need to experiment more on this.
Blue – Mr Color GX Susie Blue (80%) + Purple (20%) base coat, white added for shading. That’s not the exact mix, but keep in mind purple is an extremely strong colour and can easily override the blue if too much is used. I think this would be a good replacement for a Titans Blue
Dark Blue – It was either Mr Color Russian Aircraft Blue 2 + Mr Color Blue FS 15044, or Blue + Red, can’t remember unfortunately. Either way it’s an extremely dark purplish blue.
Red – Mr Color Red Madder (Monza Red) (100%). White and yellow added for highlights
Yellow – Base coat orange, starter white technique, followed by Orange Yellow (100%)
White – Mr Color 306 Grey FS base coat, followed by Mr Color GX Cool white for highlight
Weapons/Matte Frame – Gaianotes Neutral Grey V base coat, followed by Neutral Grey IV for shading.
Internals – Gaianotes Starbright Iron
